As President of MAGNA GLOBAL, Chris Williams oversees the strategic investment of $37 billion in media billings globally, including the network’s significant advances in automation and programmatic media investment around the world. Chris has helped set the vision and remit for MAGNA GLOBAL, which is to use the data created via best-in-class marketplace and audience intelligence, to decision more quickly, and execute with greater precision, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Prior to joining IPG in 2009, Chris’ first senior role in media was for Publicis’s Starcom Motive in the UK in 2001 as UK Head of Negotiation, and over next five years progressed upward to fulfill the role of International Buying Director and rising to UK Buying Director, Starcom Mediavest. He has been involved in all areas of trading, senior client relationship management, new business and strategic direction.
Between 2007-2009, based in the UAE, Chris was responsible for initiating cultural change and engineering best practice as the Strategic Trading Director for Publicis Groupe Media, Middle East North Africa region. Early in his career Chris worked in the media department at Leo Burnett London and in media sales for ITV, the UK’s leading commercial broadcaster.
